6 years, $49.5 million. Talk about a franchise-killing draft decision. If I were a Niners fan, I'd be about suicidal at this point.

Couldn't agree more. I seriously think in a couple of years you are going to be talking about Alex Smith in the same sentence with Akili Smith, David Klingler, Ryan Leaf, (Philip Rivers - i don't think he will do anything, he's been sitting there doing nothing too long). I had to watch that 49ers - Jaguars game this weekend and it was laughable how bad Smith was. Urban must have been crying if he happened to tune in.
